Cristina Călinoiu is a mixed-media visual artist from Romania. She lives in Bucharest, Romania, and Chamonix, France, where she works, rock climbs and skies.

She's been painting since 2022, and during this time her art was acknowledged among others by Arts to Hearts Project, in their Emerging Women Artist Award & Exhibit 2024, and, most recently, by Festival 4 Arts, Romania in their @7th International Visual Arts Competition 2026.

Cristina's art aesthetics is abundant and excessive in colour, layers and textures, as she explores the limits of each medium that she works with - charcoal, graphite, collage, inks, sprays, markers, oils.

She draws her inspiration from the natural world and uses allegory and personification to express the interferences between the animal and the human world.

Through her art, Cristina invites the viewer to stop for a moment longer and look beyond the obvious.
